Project Description
Custom fabricated facades manufactured for Department of Defence. These facades were originally built from timber and plywood but due to continually being exposed to the elements the panels were warping and distorting. HDPE was chosen as an alternative due to its excellent UV resistance, lightweight properties and excellent machinability.
Each panel is designed to be able to accommodate interlocking pieces or stabilising supports through a series of machined slots, as seen in the photo. Butt welding and extrusion welding techniques were used for this project.
