Project Description

This project required a very specific set of tanks. Once installed at a poultry facility, the tanks formed a part of the biosecurity process. These tanks are decontamination vessels treating waste product from the facility. Polypropylene (PP) was specified by the client due to temperature requirements and the corrosive nature of the process. Our scope of work for this project was to design, engineer, manufacture, test and deliver. Through a collaborative approach with our client, international polymer engineering expertise was engaged along with local engineering support. The outcome is a set of tanks that exceed DVS requirements. Testing for this project involved standard practice hydrostatic testing along with verification, and refinement of the integrated “clean in place” (CIP) system within the tanks.
